Nintendo Wii launches launches
Nintendo launched the Wii early on November 19, in the year of our Lord 2006. Staffers from Family Friendly Gaming were all over the United States of America covering the event from very long lines. Some people had waited for over seventeen hours to purchase a Nintendo Wii. The system sold for $249.99 MSRP. The innovative, and exciting controller for the Nintendo Wii is what has made it the most sought after item this Christmas shopping season.
Nintendo had launch parties on both coasts of America. A party in New York had Reggie Fils-Aime (President & COO, Nintendo of America) passing out the first Nintendo Wii in Toys "R" Us Times Square. A Gamestop in Universal City, CA had the party on the west coast. Both of these were party environments celebrating the launch of the Nintendo Wii. These areas were not the only places where excitement was maintained, and our staff has reported a really family friendly environment at their launch locations. {11/19/2006}
